JKD-EFS EVOLUTION FIGHTING SYSTEMS,
evolution and improvement of combat techniques
which enable everyone to really protect oneself
in a street grappling against one or more opponents,
empty-hand, with a knife or a stick.
We are a sporting association devoted to self-defence techniques simples and effectives, for this reason we are constantly growing and evolving.
In the 70's Bruce Lee wrote on an American magazine: "a rivalry began between the different styles declaring they own the truth not the others...". Is this what happen to JKD today? Who knows what Bruce Lee would have done if he was still alive?
The important thing was to understand the fundamental concept he wanted to teach to his pupils, constant evolution. Unfortunately, even on specialised magazines, this concept is not much emphasized and when we talk about it we bring out philosophical and metaphysical considerations not so useful in practice. So when you are fighting, with protection and a helmet, and you are hit, nothing works. Did you ask yourself why?
The two aspects have to merge together to realise concepts and methods, developing the operative work.
